After a double-blindreview by the ZIMS scientific committee, the selected participants will have the opportunity to present their research during the congress and their work will be published in the journal Liječnički vjesnik, giving recognition to the selected authors for their outstanding work.

PASSIVE PARTICIPANTS

Passive participants at ZIMS will attend engaging lectures and hands-on workshops related to this year’s theme, providing valuable insights and practical knowledge from experts. There will also be a social program designed to encourage networking and interaction among participants, fostering connections within the medical community

WHAT IS NEW THIS YEAR?

ONLINE PAPER SUBMISSION

Starting this year, active participants will no longer submit their papers via email. Instead, upon registering as active participants, they will be required to upload their research papers directly through the designated form on our website. This streamlined process ensures efficient handling and timely submission of all entries.

WE’RE GOING DOUBLE BLIND

To ensure fairness and objectivity, all submitted papers will undergo a double-blind reviewprocess. The authors’ identities will remain completely anonymous throughout the entire evaluation, with no names or identifying information displayed at any stage. Our system will randomly assign each submission to two members of the scientific committee for review. These experts will independently assess and evaluate the paper, maintaining the highest standards of impartiality.

ZIMS will feature distinguished medical professionals from Croatia, including leading oncologists, plastic surgeons, scientists, and anesthesiologists, who will share their expertise on essential topics related to breast cancer care. Attendees can expect to gain insights into the latest advancements in targeted therapies and immunotherapy, as well as innovative reconstructive techniques that prioritize patient aesthetics and satisfaction.

Discussions will also cover the genetic factors influencing breast cancer, highlighting their significance in risk assessment and prevention strategies. Furthermore, anesthesiologists will address the intricacies of anesthesia management in breast surgery, focusing on techniques that enhance patient safety and comfort. This diverse range of expertise will provide a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted approaches to breast cancer treatment and care.
